The Special Edition includes:
• Updated box design aligned with Hildegard, Rangitaki, and Spire’s End: Volume 2 • Custom insert tray for improved organization and storage • Silver foil-stamped title on the box • Reworked Chapter 6, with final encounter redesigned into a brutal three-phase finale • 22 revised cards integrated throughout the game, with up to 7 additional cards added through unlocked stretch goals. • 4 new small finale cards used during the expanded final encounter • Larger 19mm transparent eight-sided dice • Revised transparent 6 sided dice

Will the Upgrade Pack include the campaign-exclusive cards?
Yes. The Upgrade Pack contains the new gameplay content along with the campaign-exclusive cards, allowing existing owners to receive the same new game content without purchasing a second copy of the game.

Can I purchase the Special Edition box separately?
No. The Upgrade Pack is intended to update the gameplay content in an original copy without rebuilding the Special Edition piece by piece.
The full Special Edition also includes physical component upgrades that are not part of the Upgrade Pack. Offering the box and insert separately would blur the distinction between the Upgrade Pack and the complete Special Edition while creating an additional product to manufacture and fulfill.
To keep things straightforward, existing owners can purchase the Upgrade Pack for the revised gameplay content, while the full Special Edition is available for those who want the complete upgrade.

Will the expansions fit inside the Special Edition box?
No. The Special Edition box has been custom-designed to hold the base game and all new Special Edition content.
Each of the expansions comes in its own separate box and is not intended to fit inside the core game box.

Will sleeved cards fit in the Special Edition box?
Unfortunately, no. I know card sleeving is important to many players, so I want to be clear about the reasons.
The large Story Cards use a unique custom size, and sleeves are not currently available in those dimensions. The Special Edition box was also designed to remain streamlined and consistent in size with the rest of the Spire’s End series.
To accommodate sleeved cards, the compartments in the custom insert would need to be made wider. Doing so would leave the insert too thin in key areas and reduce its structural strength. Because sleeves are not currently available in the required size, and widening the insert would compromise its construction, the Special Edition box and insert are designed for unsleeved cards.

Are there plans for Special Editions of your other games?
No. Spire’s End: Volume One is receiving a Special Edition because it was the first game in the series and there were a number of improvements and additions I wanted to make after years of development. This project is about bringing the original game in line with the rest of the Spire’s End lineup.
There are currently no plans for Special Editions of Hildegard, Rangitaki, Spire’s End: Volume Two, or other Favro Ventures titles.

Why aren’t Hildegard and Rangitaki included in this campaign?
This campaign is intentionally focused on the main Spire’s End storyline: the new Special Edition of Volume 1 and Volume 2: Episode 1. Hildegard and Rangitaki are standalone prequel adventures, and including every branch of the series would make the campaign larger, less focused, and more complicated to manage and fulfill. I wanted to keep this campaign clean, organized, and centered on the core Volume games.
There is also a practical issue with Rangitaki. The current printing will soon be out of stock, and I do not want to simply reprint it as-is. There are several changes I would like to make before it returns. Revising and reprinting it through this campaign would add delays and unnecessary complications to a project that already has a very specific purpose.
Both Hildegard and Rangitaki remain a major part of the Spire’s End series, and their absence from this campaign should not be taken as a sign that they are being sidelined. They deserve their own attention and will be handled separately rather than folded into a campaign focused on the main Volume storyline.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
